Description: This distinctive ceramic sculpture was modelled by John Rattenbury Skeaping for Wedgewood in 1927. It is of a recumbent Duiker deer that is native to sub-Saharan Africa. It is in good original condition with no crackling to its celadon glaze. The artist's name and maker's mark 'SKEAPING WEDGWOOD' are moulded into its plinth base.
