A fine quality 1920’s claw & ball wing armchair (unrestored)
Price: £325.00
Description: This attractive and comfortable Georgian-style wing armchair is approximately 100 years old and is a prime candidate for restoration and re-upholstery. This is because its upholstery hides a top-quality beech and mahogany frame that is so well crafted that its joints are as firm as the day they were cut (the beech is nearly three inches thick in places). With a little traditional restoration and polishing, the finely carved mahogany claw and ball front legs and swept back legs would be transformed. A lovely chair with lots of potential, which is for sale in its current unrestored state. However, we would be happy to undertake the restoration and re-upholstery of the chair, on behalf of the buyer, if so directed. Height to the seat with cushion (48 cm), without 38 cm.
