A charming needlework panel (Circa 1910)
Price: £
Description: A verse from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' inspired the creator of this appealing and finely stitched Edwardian needlework panel. Their use of Arts & Crafts stylised lettering together with the depiction of 'All things both great and small' is so charming. Having been kept away from direct sunlight, the needlework is remarkably well-preserved and retains much of its original vibrance. It is displayed under glass within its original frame, which is decorated with satinwood banding to its inside edge. Its original backboards are sealed with a typical covering of brown paper. A lovely panel that will compliment a broad range of interiors.
