Description: This 1920s solid oak stretchered side table has just gone on display in our Dorking showroom, and it immediately attracted favourable attention, which is heartening after many hours of restoration. Simple, well designed, craftsman made furniture from the first half of the 20th Century is becoming highly sort after. This is because they enhance contemporary as well as period interiors. However, their commercial and decorative appeal has now resulted in fewer pieces appearing for sale, a marked contrast from when I started in the trade.
