Description: This small charming walnut bachelor's chest takes its inspiration from furniture produced during the early part of the 18th Century, a period in which wealthy clientele would have commissioned cabinet-makers to create their interior furnishings out of walnut, the fashionable timber of the day. A bachelor's chest is a term given to a chest of drawers that has a flip-over top. As you can see from the images, a great deal of time and care has been given over to creating this faithful copy, which dates to the middle of the 20th Century.
