Robert (Mouseman) Thompson oak cheese board

Price: £

Description: This charming oak cheeseboard (Circa 1950) has a carved mouse running down its handle, signifying that it originated from the workshops of Robert (Mouseman) Thompson. We are not specialists in this craftsman's work but we could not resist this example - the mouse is nicely modelled and the board's surface has not been restored, but left in its original used state. The loop through the handle, used for hanging the board, is actually part of an old shoe lace which looks to be of a similar age. Measurements - 37.5 cm long x 182 cm wide.
